Ronaldo is a self-taught artist and has been working in watercolor. His primary subjects are Landscape, seascape, and cityscapes painted with a bold sweeping mark. His passion for painting was influenced by great watercolor impressionists like Alvaro Castagnet, Andy Evansen, and Thomas Schaller. Ronaldo is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, Annapolis Watercolor Club, and the Annapolis Art Alliance. His participation in plein air events throughout the years molded his art. By gaining awards/honors he slowly recognized his loose, vibrant, and bold watercolor technique.
