Maria Marino
“It is when I find myself engaged in painting, my principal theme is to capture the sunlight in bold color. The work is my statement. The paint takes center stage exploring through eye and mind. Unexpected notes of color are used to break the defined place, pushing the chromatic response through line, texture, shape and color. The importance of the preparatory drawing is only part of it, one must see the finished painting before beginning, keeping true to my instinct belonging to my singular voice.”
