"Steamboat Emma Giles" These original prints are available for order prices subject to change
Artists Statement The Emma Giles was one of the last sidewheel steamers to sail the Chesapeake Bay. From before the turn of the century until the early 1930's, she made regular trips between towns and villages all along the bay carrying passengers and freight. As a passenger on the "Emma", my grandmother traveled from Shady Side, Maryland to Annapolis, to do her weekly banking for the family business. |
